Brand new design of the child room. Parents did not wish to know the sex of the child and requested to create a room for their newborn in neutral natural shade and pattern that would suit both the boy and the girl. Another criterion was to use some of the furniture original to the house and for child to be able to use the room not only as a newborn but also at least to his / hers kindergarten age.
Window was dressed up to a light beige satin and off white muslin fabric from UK. The wallpaper was the key to the room, also from UK, Harlequin brand. Pendant light from XXXLutz was grazed with crystals that originally decorated parents wedding table and crystal / flower chandelier, the same crystal was used at the door key. Child's bed is after baby girl's mother and the Spanish lacy / silk canopy and lace framing the mattress is custom made. Italian white furniture from Pali with beige / white toys are neutral to the room. Changing table is convertible to bathtub for a toddler and later as chest of draws for preschool. Potty is again inherited after baby's grand-grand mother and whicker stroller for dolls belonged baby's mother and aunt. Also decorated with Spanish lace. Carpet is by BAKERO. Side table is antique from Buštěhrad flea market. Table lamp by IKEA. Antique armchair upholstered with Harlequin fabric. Toys are original to the house and some are brand new. Teddy bear wears light pink hand-stitched beads from Jablonec nad Nisou.
